Kahalu‘u Bay is one of Hawai‘i Island’s most popular snorkeling spots, offering an array of colorful fish, charming honu, and a vibrant yet vulnerable coral reef.
We are currently hiring part-time Aloha Ambassadors who greet and guide visitors and community members on how to respectfully engage with this wahi pana (sacred place), assist with the implementation of a paid parking pilot program for non-residents (parking is free for Hawai‘i residents with valid ID and persons with disabilities), and also share information about Kahalu‘u’s sensitive natural resources and cultural and natural history.
Applicants should possess strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills in English (knowledge of other languages common in Hawai‘i a plus), strong organizational and listening skills, respectful and humble attitude, basic PC computer/data entry skills, and ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
Retail sales experience and knowledge of the local shore environment are pluses, but we provide training.
