Our Retail Sales Associate is the face of Blue Ocean Mariculture and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service at our retail seafood shopfront.
This position reports to the Distribution Manager, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently handling various responsibilities.
The RSA may rotate through multiple positions which may include packing, processing, and driving/delivering products to customers.
This position works outdoors under a covered shade cloth.
What You'll Do
Provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their seafood questions and needs.
Handle cash, credit card, and other purchasing transactions through operating the store point of sale system.
Reconcile cash drawer and sales receipts at the end of the day.
Accurately count cash and make change.
Maintain high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
Assist with picking and preparing inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery.
Process and pack seafood quickly and store under controlled conditions to ensure high quality and avoid waste.

Ability to learn full range of seafood products carried in the department and sell proactively.
Communicate supply material levels.
Keep work area clean.
Ensure orders are packed on schedule, accurately, and in good condition.
Able to walk and stand, lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
Able to work in covered, outdoor area up to 8 hours per shift.
Available to work M-F, 7am to 3:30pm.
