It is described as smelling like gasoline and tasting like pears, jackfruit, and pineapple.

The fruit has an oblong shape, rough greenish-brown skin, and small soft spines.
Inside it has delicious, creamy, custard-like flesh.
The tree itself is reminiscent of ‘ulu and boasts beautiful leaves.
