The Volcano School of Arts & Sciences is seeking a Pre-Kindergarten Elementary Teacher for 3-4 year olds.
Qualifications include:
* Teacher license (or license in process)
* A minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in Hawai'i
* Knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education
* Knowledge and experience designing and delivering curriculum
* Understanding and experience with delivering flexible, differentiated instruction
* Ability to use the natural environment as a learning laboratory
* Knowledge and respect for Hawaiian values, knowledge, and practices
* Ability to establish positive relationships and work with diverse students need including those with special needs
* Ability to establish a caring and nurturing environment based on Growth Mindset and Positive Discipline
* Demonstrate positive attitude and Growth Mindset

Term: 10-month, Full-time, 40 hours per week
Pay: Base pay in accordance with HSTA collective bargaining salary schedule based on position level and years of service in Hawaiʻi, and:
* Maximum credits for private school and out-of-state experience
* Differential pay $8,000 for teachers with Hawaiian Language or Hawaiian Studies degree
* Differential pay of $7,500 for all VSAS teachers for teaching in “Hard-to-Staff” location
* Full benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Paid Sick Leave and State Holidays
