Pacific island oval Kava bowl - $145 (Pahoa)

Unusual oval kava bowl with 6 mother-of-pearl inlays and lots of intricate carving.
Appears to be somewhat old but I have no idea of age, origin (probably Fiji), or wood type - quite heavy so maybe mahogany.
Measures 18” x 10” x 2” high.
