This is a beautiful piece of furniture no matter what you want to call it.
It was built in England at the CWS cabinet factory Hay Mills , Birmingham.
The English call it a wardrobe or a cabinet.
I am sure that they didn't put their telly in it at the time because they didn't have one.
It was most likely 1920 but I am looking for a number to verifiy it .
I found a New Mexico auction house sold one and referred to it as an Armoire.
Maybe they are French.
you can call it what you like.
The Amish call the ones they make Amoire/ wardrobe.
If you want to put your guns in it, your TV or your clothing , it is a nice large storage area.
It has beautiful beveled glass and some nice craftsmanship.
The beautiful wood and craftsmanship makes it a piece worth owning if you have the space for it.
I asume that it is oak but they used a lot of walnut from the USA as well.
I would think walnut is darker, but I am not educated in furniture making.
I added a couple of pictures that I found online whilelooking for information on this piece.
It would be awesome if people kept a record of furniture pieces.
did this piece come from England to Hawaii or did it travel across the USA and then to Hawaii? It belonged to a friend.
Cash at time of pickup, Face to face sales.
