Increase number of UH Hilo and Hawaii CC NH students will persist to the Fall semester through participation in Ipu O Lono campus and community engagement activities.
Develop and implement Ipu o Lono engagement activities, including scheduling of cultural workshops and procuring cultural resource materials.
Work closely with KoEC Director and Pa'ie'ie Project Directors to develop activities to establish Native Hawaiian/Indigenous-centered campus spaces at KoEC, including collaboration with Ipu O Lono facility renovation efforts.
Provide student support through general advising, coaching, and referral to Manono and Palamanui partners to help ensure the highest rate of student engagement, retention, and completion.
Lead student outreach and recruitment efforts for Ipu O Lono activities.
Coordinate and evaluate Ipu O Lono activities, including monitoring the engagement and participation of students, administrators, faculty, and staff and maintaining records of program outcomes for grant reports.
Collaborate with team members from other Pa'ie'ie activities, such as, Piko Hawai'i, Uluakea, UH Hilo Ipu O Lono, and other UH-system initiatives such as, Ka'ao Framework, and Hawaii Papa O Ke Ao.
Coordinate procurement and budgeting for Activity 2.
Hire, train, support student peer mentors to assist with programs and activity programs and activities.
Duties may include working outside of normally scheduled hours, including nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Hawaiian Studies, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Social Science, or related field and (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for academic success for indigenous and/or diverse communities in a university or college environment or equivalent education/training and experience.
Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the field of in providing college-level academic and or students support services as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with educational programs, activities, and resources.
Demonstrated ability to resolve wide-ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative, and timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, communities, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
