Marriott King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Accounting Technician to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Responsible for assisting and supporting the Accounting team in the achievement of the Division’s goals and the maintenance of adequate internal controls over all areas of Resort operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: ____ Provides services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention.
____ Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
____ Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
____ Reconcile the Rooms Property Management system activity on a daily basis ____ Accounts Payable oversight ____Accounts Receivable billing ____Reconcile the Food and Beverage Point of Sale System activity to supports on a daily basis ____Complete Daily F&B Sales Report ____Create and send out Daily F&B Invoices ____Update Tip and House Charges Spreadsheets ____Issue Parking Stickers as needed ___ Partners closely with other departments within the Hotel to provide and ensure highest quality service to internal and external customers.
____ Maintains complete knowledge at all times of: All hotel features/services, hours of operation and all department policies and procedures.
____ Promote safe work practices.
____ Provides assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
***Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
*** Requirements Knowledge/Education/Experience: Proficient in Microsoft applications.
High school or equivalent education.
At least one (1) year previous experience in a similar role required.
Hotel experience highly preferred.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual.
Ability to make timely, effective decisions.
Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work assignments.
Ability to maintain good team member relations.
Ability to develop and maintain effective guest relations.
Ability to provide effective communications, both verbal and written.
Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
Strong problem solving ability.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to compute mathematical calculations.
Dependable.
