Senior Small Business Specialist - Accountant
Job description:
Full time opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in public accounting.
Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility, under supervision, for small accounting engagements involving maintenance of a client’s accounting system.
Prepare financial statements on various basis of accounting (including income tax basis).
Prepare payroll checks and necessary payroll tax reports.
Work with third party vendors to complete work on a timely basis and review for obvious errors.
Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.
Have a working knowledge of local tax laws, payroll laws, and state sales tax laws.
Requirements and Skills:
2+ years (Preferred) experience at a public accounting firm performing preparation of financial statements on various basis of accounting.
Ability to maintain a manual and computerized bookkeeping system.
Ability to maintain an accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledger system.
General computer operations - QuickBooks, data input, and processing.
Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $45,000.
