Senior Tax Specialist
Job Description:
Full-time opportunity is for a candidate looking to continue advancing their career in a public accounting firm.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and/or review complex income tax, estate tax, and informational returns.
Assume full responsibility for accounting engagements for preparation of tax returns.
Tax forecasting.
Tax research.
Recognize client problems and develop solutions.
Recognize possible problem areas of an engagement, and assist in developing solutions.
Train, supervise, and evaluate, staff members assigned to engagements.
Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.
Requirements and Skills:
Certified Public Accountant, or Enrolled Agent with public accounting experience.
5+ years experience preparing and/or reviewing complex corporation, partnership, not for profit, fiduciary and individual tax returns.
Ability to develop and maintain clients.
High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.
Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
Software: QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, CCH ProSystem fx Tax software, CCH AnswerConnect tax research and RIA Checkpoint tax research platforms.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $55,000.
